TT268 cam, lifters , timing belt kit ordered :thumb: Modded my wallet. weight reduction ! My understanding is that you can use the MkIV hydro lifters as a direct swap for some additional weight reduction. Definitely a bonus with a bigger cam. What kind of condition are your valve springs in? Valve ...

Has anybody used this stuff? => "K-Seal"

Like the title says, has anybody used this stuff for a temporary fix? http://www.solv-tec.com/pg/index.html The company claims it's 'permanent' that sounds like hog wash, to me. I've found a good number of overseas forums (particularly UK) where folks have reported mixed but mostly good results with...

Thanks, r_r. That's the type of feedback I was looking for... My last event was at the Alameda County Fairgrounds back in 93, so I'll need to blow a lot of dust and cobwebs off the ol' skillz. I'm not concerned about the intensity of the mods - I've got a lot more than just bars going on. I'm just checking around for folks who maybe hit the course a few times a season, just for fun - you know, not going for series points or anything. Given my mods and especially what I started with - Fox ...

Rex strikes me as a not-so-casual about it... I'm taling about taking the daily driver out in standard street trim, not slapping the gumballs on and adjusting the suspension and all the 'real' stuff, much less having a dedicated track car. My experience with crossing indicates that my car is not rea...

Any 'casual' auto-x'ers here?

Like the title says... It's been a long time (16+ yrs) since I've been out on course and I'm kicking around the idea of making a little personal time to head out and have some fun. What size are the threads at the wheel cylinder...

Does anybody know what size the threads are on the hydraulic brake line fittings where they screw in to the wheel cylinders? My (not so) trusty back up ride is an 89 Jetta that decided it was time for a wheel cylinder to poop the bed. I'm thinking of treating it to some Foxer grade improvisation by ...
