Do you have the fault code already? If not, where are you located? I've got vag-com and am in Stockton. I'm sure others here have it too.

I was advised last night that my assumption that JE Pistons were better than OEM was wrong. The skirt clearance necessary for the forged JE's would end up making the cylinders out of round in an amount of time less than satisfactory... I also found out I can get OEM 2.9L pistons for a price MUCH bet...

Honestly? Probably not. The car is used for transportation/fun, not all out racing. The cam is fairly mild, the JEPistons are going in because they are FAR less expensive and superior to OEM, the nitrous will only get occasional use. However, depending on cost associated with actual management, I ma...

I used to...lol I did medical equipment repair all over NCal for the first two years I owned the car. Put 95,000 in those years. Last year only put 5,000 on it. Actually had a 99.5 Jetta IV, put 25,000 in 5 months until I was hit by a 16 y/o. I MADE money on the car if you can believe that. Got $800...

Also found the hard face starting to come off the cams and one lifter. JE pistons/rings in the first oversize (.040over or 82mm), Techtonics Tuning cams and high-li...
