Also in Livermore, Rocky Mountain Window Tint, 925.373.2577 (just googled 'em to make sure the name was right, so I grabbed the number for you too) I had them do my mom's 525 (B-pillar back) like 7 years ago and it still looks perfect. I'll be taking my wife's Passat there when I get hold of a few m...

Regardless of engine size, the most respected tuner/shop in the area seems to be Tomas Sport Tuning. I've never used them myself, cuz I'm only driving an old heap and I do most all the work myself, but a lot of folks on here sing their praises. A lot of this stuff you can do yourself, so find a loca...

What's up. I'm Damon. I live in Livermore. I patrol the 84/680 corridor between Livermore and Fremont in a white Fox wagon. It's kinda subtle. Lowered on Neuspeed coils (so it's about as low as a stock MkII  ), 15" Ronal R8's, and no tint. Looks like grandma's grocery getter - but it moves...

If it's running, roll it to the MkI/MkII GTG at Pt. Reyes on the 25th. You might find some takers there.

Got pics?

If it was the slave cylinder, then he shouldn't be able to operate the clutch as is required to shift into gear - the stick should bang against that position and make a bunch of grinding noise. If the shifter travels to the gear position but the gear is not actually engaged (it's not engaged or the ...

A cool site with a lot of Fox info for the old schoolers who dig VW's red-haired step-child: http://www.lunaticfringe.org/vwfox/vwfox.html You can check out some of the Fox brothers (and sisters) rides here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=723994 snow

Thanks for the welcome. I was checking out your Mk I/II roll call thread yesterday, but the BX platform is neither of those. I didn't even think about the 89 Jetta Wolfie back-up ride at the homestead. My bad. I corrected that oversight a couple minutes ago.

Consider me checked in. My daily and preferred ride is the same as 88GL_wagon's - 'cept mine's a year newer. Consider us Mk BXers. I have an 89 Jetta Wolfie as a back up if my Fox decides it wants the day off, but it doesn't have the sauce that the Fox does. (And the poor little Fox doesn't have the...
