Install was a piece of cake.......for me......

Actually, like I mentioned before, Johnny and Jon helped me install it. My car was kinda the guinea pig for all you 6 speed guys, so if you find any loose parts from here to dublin...it probably came off my car....j/k :D . It took a little longer than expected cuz the 6 speed trannys were a little different than the 5 speed setup. Our shifter/shift cable got in the way of reaching the grounding screw on the tranny, so you'll need that universal joint tool that Jon mentioned otherwise it's really hard to get a socket or wrench to take that tranny ground screw out. It should be a pretty straight forward install and should take you no more than 45 min to an hour. If you have a CAI already, definitely will be faster. I still have my stock airbox.

The cost of the kit was $35. Much cheaper than any "off the shelf" kits I've come across. The gage of the wire used is much larger than any other kit that I've seen, which in turn provides less resistance and a better ground. The wire insulation is black, so you know it had my blessing from the start :D . And since it's not a "universal" grounding kit, it'll fit our cars nicely. With my cover on, it's virtually hidden. Even with the cover off, the black insulation doesn't make the wires an eyesore. If it didn't look good, I probably wouldn't have gotten the kit. :)

Somebody wake him up!.....:funny:

It may not be at PINO. There was talk about it moving to the San Ramon Target, which is up the road about 10 minutes. But I'll be there (wherever "there" is)

Yo Johnny aka gee tee eye...

Kenny swung by my place after work today as I was unable to make the gtg tonight. Grounding kit looks sweet.

I definitely want one that is the same as his. I'll be out of town for a few days so that should give ya some time. :D I can PayPal you now if ya want.

I know, I think if I gave her permission to drive my car on the freeway that night at Benny's place for poker, she would've came back with my car steaming thru the hood. Luckily, it was only a short drive down the block.:aww:

Thanks Aram. I got the grounding kit from Johnny (gee tee eye) and the w8 console is painted. You can get a black w8 console off some guy on VWvortex. If you can't find it, let me know. I'd go that route. Painting is really hard and it probably won't turn out as nice. I'm gonna head up to your northbay gtgs one of these days! I don't go up that way too often, so it should be fun.
