Wow, lots of work on that car, altho not to the casual eye...

I spy a mk4 GTI bumper, Mk4/mk4 look headlights.

I always wondered what a mk4 Jetta front end would look like on a mk3.5 Cabrio, but I never saw anyone crazy enough to try...

Do you drive with that ratrod stick up all the time?

yeah I was thinking about that when I was looking at the pics of your car. Once I get the house and garage cleaned up I can help you with those mirrors if they still aren't on the car yet.

As it is right now I can't find crap, I had to do a stereo install for my brothers B-Day and that was a nightmare just trying to fins connectors and my tools. I am making progress though, I finally got all my collectibles out of the cabby and put away in my office. Now I just have to clean up the rest of the crap in the garage so I can move my work bench from my parents house.

yeah, I love that shifter...... it is just BARELY short enough that you can get the car into reverse and 5th (the beer tap on the top added an extra 10inches or so that weren't accounted for when I made it).

as far as the MK4 Jetta front, lets just say I know a guy that is crazy enough and has put some time into thinking it out. If the money ever falls in place you may see one but it won't be for a few more years.... so if you ever find anyone unloading stock mk4 jetta parts CHEAP (even slightly damaged) let me know.

thanks and no

I traded Benn for them.... he might have but I think he went further south to get them. Not sure though, he can chime in if he feels like it. The 17's on the wagon (I think they are still on the wagon) used to be on the cabby.

ohh and thanks Benn for the pics, IIRC 3 of the 5 you took I know both fish eyes are yours and I think the close driver side pic you took as well. :thumb: :thumb: One day when we are all free I have to get you to take some pics of my car and sarahs once we get the rest of the crap on it that I have laying around.

So a couple from today.... was doing a quick shoot for the BFI contest on vortex. Figured it was worth a shot, spend a buck and maybe win something.

These were the two I liked the most..... will post a few others a lil later.

cuz it was there and I am digging the reflections I got off of it.

Car was dirty as shit anyway..... will throw some more up later.... was really just trying to have fun with it. The weather we have had has not been great for me being overly productive on the cars, so I just figured I'd see what I can find.

You can see what I used in this pic....

2 quarts will cover the convertible, including jamming and spraying the trunk and back seat area. The very first time I did it, we did rattle can it..... can't remember how many cans it took. Much cheaper to buy a cheap HVLP gun if you have a compressor. My gun is one of the nicer Harbor Freight ones (got it on sale), sprays a lil better than the first cheap ass HF gun I bought. Sprayed a gloss on the rabbit which has held up pretty well to the elements as well. With rusto (or similar oil based paints), the self level pretty well and are easy to shoot once you mess with your thinning mixture.

LOL figured you'd catch that..... can't see it in that photo, but to the left of my car is the WRD stickerd tote with the AC setup in it.

Kenny does so much shit for me, the least I can do is store some of his shit until we have the time to put it all on his whip.

my compressor is only like a 15 gal portable craftsman.... supposidly under rated for an HVLP gone, but it holds its own..... just runs the whole time you spray. I give it brakes so it can fill fully.

it's a color that has to be seen, depending on how the light hits it. All I know is I fucking LOVE it!

I just can't believe more folks didn't guess paint, when they saw my car blown apart.

I really thought it would be more obvious with it being me and my car. I think with the satin black some folks overlooked the amount of work that went into stripping and painting the car.
