what paint did u use i wanted to do that to but black did you have to wet sand....

I've had so many people ask me where I had them Powdercoated haha

Yeah I wet sanded them and used adhesion promoter. The paint I used was Krylon brand with High performance clear wheel coating found at kragen. :thumb:

ok what adhesive and the krylon it wasent wheel paint?

I forgot who It was made by but it Says "Adhesion promoter" in bold on a red can. Can be found at Kragen also.

No it's not wheel paint but it said it works with plastic and metal surfaces. Plus it was the only shade of army green I liked so I grabbed it.

i want to do it with the stock wheels i have on my 06 jetta i want bbs but im not rich so im fucked my car is under this post

o yea and how much did it cost for eveything?

Everything cost around 50 bucks.

This is the only one I have but I can try to get you some better ones tomorrow

It's not very hard really just be thorough, use sweeping motions when painting, let dry 15-20 minutes between each coat. But most importantly make sure the wheel is super clean. Instead of wet sanding the wheel you could also use Red Scotch Bride pads to scuff up the wheels a bit so the paint adheres.
