Thumbs down for ppl who want a guarantee their paint won't crack. And are too lazy to roll them themselves and too cheap to pay me to roll them for them. My time is money baby so don't waste it. If you want to roll them yourself with a bat then do it and don't waste my time. Rediculous!

Mmmm...sounds like he's got every right to be bitter...I'm gonna move it to the Go Ahead and Vent thread though so you two can have it out.

I was at the Shell at Watt and Auburn yesterday afternoon gettin some fuel when a MKIV Jetta Wagon pulled up to the pump ahead of me. The driver was on the phone and just kinda looking at the pump waiting to free has phone hand to get gas.
This pump has only gas.
This Jetta is a TDI, with dealer plates (like a new car).

I remind the driver he's going to want the diesel pumps

He just kinda looks at me like "yeah, whatever kid" and puts his card in the slot to get gasoline.

...I ride away.

Out of curiousity, what happens to a diesel engine if it receives gasoline?

Gas in a diesel will most likely destroy the motor. Remember, the chemical composition of petrol is different than of diesel, peanut oil, trans fluid, or WVO. The common characteristic of all the things diesels can safely run on is lubricant in the fuel.

Petrol does not have this and therefore will cause problems in various areas.

Also in a less than sure aspect, I would assume if a diesel engine were able to spark petrol (I believe the glow plugs would fire the more flamible petrol), diesel engines are built at a higher compression than a similar petrol engine. So assuming air, petrol, and spark(glow plugs) in a diesel would cause detonation and knocking as well as increased pressure from the way petrol burns, as far as I can tell.
