Michael Jackson's Memorial

Postby JET-AH GIRL » Tue Jul 07, 2009 1:42 pm

I Know there have been jokes and all going around about MJ. But watching his memorial today was truly heart breaking. Watching Brooke Shields and watching his daughter Paris speak broke my heart. "I just wanted to say, ever since I was born, daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine! I just wanted to say I love him so much." Wow my heart goes out to his kids they are truly lost with out there father and miss him so very much! He was truly a talented man. He will be missed.

I respect that it's tough for any family to go through any loss.. but I am sorry... the 'respects' were excessive. And it was a lovely display of what out media loves to do... sensationalize everything. I am sure networks made great ratings yesterday...

Sorry... I get that he was an icon of his era.. but I just get annoyed with the fixation.

Oh I totally agree with you 100% I think it all has gone to far. I think now that everyone has gotten to say there "goodbyes" they need to stop talking about it. Every channel on tv yesterday had it on. Like I said though I feel Horrible for his daughter and brooke was very touching as well. It is just sad that the kids can not deal with this in the own way and not in the public eye. Because everything that is on the news or internet is Paris talking about her dad. Watching extra last night they keep showing the same clip I finally turned it off. But like I said My heart goes out to his kids.

Never again

Postby dahblackGTI » Wed Jul 08, 2009 11:40 am

What amazes me is that probably will never happen again for anyone else. Claims have been made that he was THE greatest entertainer. I can't think of anyone that is alive right now that even comes close to the impact he made on the lives of those who allowed him too.

His music was the soundtrack of my childhood.

So you are saying that he touched you when you were a child?

I had to...

I think if Obama got knocked off the memorial would be bigger then Jackson's.

hah..and they're both paid for with tax dollars!

good entertainer - maybe, but that doesn't make him a good person.

that aside, i feel that there will never be a bigger memorial than MJ's.

WOW.... Miss I think all these fucking jokes are funny, now cares.... yeah I can't feel that. Either you think his death is a joke or you don't.

He gets to hash that out with his maker. Ether way as a kid I moon walked. I listened to his music, his music was a big part of my childhood.

Same thing to you Benn, it was all fun and good to you to crack jokes with the OP in the other thread..... now it's emotional and sad??? Once again not feeling it, either it's real or it's not. The jokes have been old since long before he died and for those that thought it was great to expand upon the jokes after his death.... then "morn" (ERRRRR sorry get emotional/heart broken), fuckin bullshit.

And I'll follow that up with a big ole, WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU KNOW ABOUT HIM AS A PERSON???? Do you have some information the rest don't about him as how good of a person he was? Cuz I am guessing you know the same we do, and the only thing you know are of 2 accusations (innocent before proven guilty remember) that went unfounded by our legal system, vs. his outward lifetime devotion towards the improvement of the lifestyle of people (children and familys) in disadvantaged positions.

If you know more than that please share, I for one would love to hear some personal insight into his life of that which did not make him a good person.

Now for my comment..... biggest thing I have seen come from Michaels death other than those that loved his talent, is all those that took the negative stories from his life and used his death as an opportunity to pile on to that shit. Dude was fuckin weird/unique/etc but fuck the people coming outta the word work to question and comment on his person/intentions/character/etc. There were plenty of years to prove he did something improper or illegal, now in death certain people find security in being able to accuse the person who no longer has the ability to defend themself. None of us know what will come out in the years to come, but to use his death as an excuse to pass judgment and make false claims at this point is unjust and unamerican. This shit is sad, and is not a sole response to the comments here but to the comments made by other folks publicly as well (including those that are elected to uphold the laws of this country).

Yeah he wasn't a child molester, unless you have something that proves otherwise.... ohhh yeah you still don't. As I said in my post none of us know what may come out in the years to come, but you don't have any information the rest of us don't already have.

And this ain't got shit to do with me "always wanting a fight" I just call shit like I see it. When I see some bullshit I'm gonna say something. If I always wanted a fight I would still be spending time on those other forums where it's not too hard to find someone wanting a fight.
