Just you. :shoot:
But on the real, those weren't the best examples of the rides out there. I liked Chris Foresburgs (convertable 350Z) paint sceme last year better when he was sponsored by sears. The lexus IS 300 looked preety good up close.

I'm digg'in Rhyse Millens new Solstice. Really agressive. Sam Hubbinette's Charger was probbly one of the best looking cars out there, along with Ken Gushi's mustang. Acttually all the mustngs were look'in preety good. Kinda surpised that Von Gitten went all motor this year. Never did get to see the engine though.
Congrats to Chris Forsberg for the win!

Attually Calvin Wan had the worse day. He hit the wall at around 70mph completely flattening his rear end. I had pics, but there really crappy.

And as for the angles, I got really lucky and was able to get trackside for this event.

Good point.

I went back through all the pics, and it looks like everyone with a wing is running it really shallow - which would result in very little downforce. Now, if they would tip them just a bit more, maybe they could get a little bit of lift out of them...

Believe it or not, they do provide a purpose on some cars. All these cars are designed to slide with minimal effort. This makes them a bit unstable at higher speeds. Many of the drivers are hitting 80mph+ on there entry. The wings help keep them a bit more stable. Rhys Millen is probbly the best example of this. He had a clear lexan "deffuser" i guesss you could call it on his GTO last year in conjuction with a rear wing. It spanned from the top of the rear window, to the back trunk, and supported the wing. The diffuser alowed him to hold some crazy angles without spinning out since the car wanted to spin, but the air helped "push" the car striaght. Like i siad, not everyone went to these lenths. Some do it purley for looks, others don't feel a need for it. Most remove them for high banked tracks like Califorina Racway.

I dig that mustang..... hate the Vette however. but of course thats how I live my life.

Kens Mustang was one of the best looking cars out there. Wish he kept the GT500 front end he had last year.
That vette was insane. Couldn't even hear any other car he tanduemed with. That sucker was LOUD! Best sounding car there too. Mad props to Conrad Grunwald and the Tanaka team. It was there first event with the new Vette, and not only did they make top 16, they placed 4th. Preety damm impressive considering the vette was a completely untested platform in drifting.
