Gates Open at 3pm. Elimination starts at 7pm.
I'm in the High School class/Top The Cops program so i only pay $15.
For everyone else it's $25 to drag and $10 to spectate.
You guys should come out sometime!
Let me know if you're thinking about going.
We go just about evey wednesday. :)

I don't know what everyone else has been taught, but I was advised to NOT do a burn-out with street tires.

^^^ Exactly. You don't ever HAVE TO do a burn out, you can simply go around the water and stage. but... it is fun! :thumb:

On street tires I always went around the water...

When I had a chip, exauhst and 100oct. gas I got a 14.5 with my 2001 1.8t aww gti

The water Pitt burnouts are fun though!

Damn 12.8! What turbo did you run? I bet that tow bill would be crazy...

Unfortunately this is common knowledge, I've broken 4 axles on street tires: 2 oem and 2 DSS drag axles...always about .5 second after full throttle/full clutch engagement in 2nd gear.

Then I guess the question is: Do they get LESS grip after a burnout? :eyes:

There is no way that car all stock even should be in the 16's.

I think that it would cause less traction

If you burnout your heating your tires and heating the air inside your tires witch would cause the air to expand inside, thus making your Tire PSI increase and making your tread contact to the ground smaller??

I also think that the street tires aren’t the same compound as drag slicks and they are not like a solid piece of rubber contacting the ground.

Most people with drag slicks also have big side walls to allow a wrinkle effect witch is something similar to a rubber band effect on launch? Not a 35 or 40 series tire that is over inflated and not able to wrinkle on the walls during a launch.

Again I could be wrong? Just my opinion...
