Postby Kagato » Fri Feb 25, 2005 8:01 pm

was lookin into either findin a cheap aftermarket grill or gettin my stock one painted. questions are

1) about how much does it cost to get a grill prepped and painted
2) about how long does the process take
3) any dangers to driving w/ out a grill if i have to

if you're willing to DIY, you can buy the paint from http://www.paintscratch.com. you'll get 12oz cans of primer, factory-matched paint, and clearcoat for about 60 bucks.

if you need a DIY guide, you can probably find it here, but it's definitely at vwvortex.

1)Depending on where you go, around $75-$100
2)A few hours but the shop probably won't get it to you till the day after.
3) There really isn't anything behind the stock grill to worry about given normal driving conditions, and you should only be grilless for a few days max.

But if you feel confident enough I say do what voltairejayme said.
