Need TDI expert for Timing Belt

Postby Fiveflat » Tue Sep 27, 2011 5:30 pm

Got a TDI. Need to do the Timing Belt, Water Pump and all that goodness that's involved in said procedure. Want quality parts and quality work. Got a quote from Kombihaus and I about choked although I had half a bottle of whiskey when I heard how much... Had a coronary when I called the dealership first.

Yea, I'm new here too. Well, to this site anyway. Been here all my life, live in Galt area. Would REALLY appreciate this said expert to do it in my garage so I can help and learn too. I got cheddar and beer (Just not as much cheddar as the dealer and Kombi wants)

Here's the subject. I keep it as clean as a country boy can:

Damn, you ask a lot to do it in the garage AND to stand over the shoulder but I can probably take care of this for you. I have tools, can travel if I HAVE to, and have performed several. There are a few gyrations of up/down to take out the pass side mount but I just happen to have an engine support beam. :thumb:

Not asking a lot. Doesn't have to be at my house. But if you know the TDI and can get work done, I'll be glad to bring it to you and leave it.

Honestly - I don't really need to learn how to do this. I don't have any intentions on becoming a jack of yet another trade. Send me an email or private message on your price please?

Thanks!
