Don't you already have a spring on your DV now? I'm sorry to say that I probably can't help you with your question for obvious reasons, but maybe if you tell me what the function of the different springs are, I could.

Plus, the lady was considering getting a Forge DV soon, so I'd like to make it seem like I know more than I actuallly do about turbo engines. haha!

Just run the wimpiest one, as the stronger ones are used for more boost iirc

x2

Stongest to weakest:
Red +30 psi
Blue 23-30 psi
Yellow 15-23 psi
Green 5-15 psi

If you aren't chipped, you won't see more than 11-12 psi IIRC. Really no need for an aftermarket DV unless your stock one can't hold the boost.

right on,thanks guys. Ive been playing around with diffrent settings and for me its kind of hard to tell the diffrent stiffness in a couple springs so i just need to know what color is good

how do you reverse your DV, isn't it bad? What is the benefit of that, is it for sound?
"Yea, though I drive in the Valley of the Shadow of the V8, I shall fear no V8 for the Inline 4 is with me. Thy 1.8 liters and thy K04 comfort me. Thou shall prepare boost at my call against the V8 that troubles me. Thou annointest my Inline 4 with Mobil One Oil, and my psi shall runneth over. Thy loving smoothness and torqueness shall follow me all the days of my
driving and I will dwell in the house of the Inline 4 Turbo forever!!!!!!"

Most people either do it for the chirp or to be able to fit the engine cover on there without cutting it.

Reverse it just by switching the two hoses that it plugs into...makes it sit on its side versus right side up. Probably didn't explain that too well.

well i changed my spring to the green one and turned it side ways.
Feels alot better, feels like the turbo spools faster.
I only get that stupid chirp every now and again, but i turned the dv because i read it helps the turbo spool faster.
