is d hks ssqv bov ok? would you guys recommend it? i have an aluminum canaster diverter valve which 034 motorsport put it runs good but on the top end sometimes it cuts off im not sure if thats the problem .but my daughter gave me a hks bov ssqv planning to install it might solved the problem any suggestions? :thumb:

well, a DV is a bit different than a BOV, unless you can plumb the output back into the DV pipe to the airbox, then it'll be running in DV mode.

A BOV usually exits in the atmoshpere, which is why you hear car that goo 'woosh' or a whistle. A DV lets off pressure put recirculates it back to the intake.

I think you should check the DV if it has an adjustment somewhere, it might not be holding boost or something. I don't think I've seen a sequential BOV on a 1.8T or a SC'd dub before.

I just know you're most likely going to run rich if you use it because the engine expects that air to be redirected back in, not released to atmosphere.

just get the forge 50/50 splitter for the sound you want and enough recycled boost to not throw a CEL.

Sweet sound but not worthit...Car goes into limp mode most of the time. Been there 2x.

easiest way to explain it is like this



ANY TIME you blow off metered air your car will not be running properly, even if you don't get the cel. Once the air has been metered the ECU is fueling for air that should be there, so you will be wasting gas and hurting performance all at the same time.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

i tried using it it sounds good but i lost power im going back to the old diverter valved thanks again for the advice
