I thought about doing that to my vr intake manifold and alternator housing yesterday. Will it cling on plastic?... like the plstic cover on the manifold?.

Did the a/c compressor and power steering yesterday

The VR turned out pretty good but I am going to come up with a different solution for the plug wires. They didn't turn out the way I had hoped.

haha I was everywhere.

What if you hide the wires under the intake?.
This is my friend Mike London's mk2

so where do you find the krylon krinkle paint? Hardware or Automotive? Got a small project and I wanna try shooting some of that.

Sureguy wrote:OSH or Home Depot I think. It's Kylon so anywhere that carries the brand should have it.

I was no go at a couple home supply places, but did find some at Kragen (but their prices suck). I will check OSH and Home Depot, just hasn't been in my plans while happening to run around.

Another question..... any chance you have ever painted over this after you have painted something with it? Just wondering if it would be possible to krinkle paint something, then paint over it with a color I would want.... Ohh yeah and what kinda prep did you do to the manifold? Just scuff and degrease I am guessing?

Apparently VHT also makes wrinkle paint, in black and red. Only place I found it was in the UK tho, and it's like 8 pounds sterling per can.

Tognotti's in sac carries it, but still not as cheap as krylon and I think it may be in a smaller can.

Here's updates.....

Brookes car is in for a bunch of work. I got the trans out today and stripped down to inspect stuff. Everything looks very good so all it needs is a diff and some cleaning. The Wavetrac should look nice in there. BTW my new transmission bench works pretty damn well.

Hmmm...doesn't this remind you of "someone else's" car that you had to pull apart and install these items? ;) But I'm sure the Mk3 was much easier to work on...haha.

well lets just say the 2.8l 12v isn't cutting it, so were looking into a much larger displacement 6 cylinder, to swap the 12v out with!!!
