need a CAT

Postby tonymorgan112 » Thu Jan 24, 2008 11:34 pm

hey ppl...i've got a 99 jetta with a 2.0. i need to replace my CAT cause its totally fucked :shoot: . if i'm not mistaken, its an OBD2 and dealer wants like 900 bucks. considering my cars only worth like 2500 i figured i'd see if anyone here had one they'd be willing to sell me. can get one from auto recyclers north of sac for 150 but availabitlity is kinda sketchy. let me know!! :thumb:

I would link you to there site but it doesnt seem to be working right now. Its hard to find anyone that will sell a used cat. As far as I know its not legal in CA.

Ben- Do you remember what the cat-back is that we have downstairs? was that for a 1.8t?

I'll check with the boss on that when he gets home :)

What she speaks of is my stock VR6 exhaust...it's cat back though. My original cat is still on the car.

OR

The downpipe/cat w/o2 sensors that has less than 10k miles on it that I have in a box. I'm not sure what it's for but I'm leaning towards 1.8t. I've barely looked at it.

sounds like my previous offer on my Cat will not work for this car. Which is cool. Maybe I'll just steal the platinum outta it and sell that. :)

intake fuel pump

Postby tonymorgan112 » Mon Jan 28, 2008 10:35 am

my car has become difficult to start in the mornings after it has sat for a few hours. i'm thinking it may be the intake fuel pump or a small hole somewhere because my car doesn't smoke when it finally does start. also, after its run, i don't have starting issues for the rest of the day. anyone know how to isolate that problem down?
