Who has chinese door handles

Postby jduarte » Sat Feb 07, 2009 12:31 pm

for their mk2? I'm really not down with the mk2 handles-especially in this cold-I'm just waiting for one to snap at this point.

Anyone buy the ones that ECS tuning sells? Any good?

I'm always open to other suggestions as well, thanks everyone :thumb:

I has em on my mk1..... all depends on supplier. Some people bitch about the ebay ones, I got mine on ebay and they have been fine (better shape than the handles that were on the car).

Mine were true VW parts, came in a VW parts box, not a knockoff set.

huh? pulling the handle is that hard around your parts? didn't know that was ever a secret to thieves.

I'm just confused as to how the change of handle deters theft???, maybe I didn't catch exactly what you meant. Either they open the door or they don't.... doesn't matter the style of handle.

I know that trick only cause my pass side door handle sucks. the rest of them however work fine...

Mine open fine.... better quality than the ones that were on the car. Maybe it's installer error or the batches.... I have heard of people getting sub-par handles, and having issues depending on the seller they purchased from, mine on the other hand were/are great.

I bought mine years ago as well..... I wouldn't have any clue who I bought em from..... since I have sourced a few parts thru HK distributors back years ago.

i got a pair off of ebay a few years back. they're tough, had kids hanging from them, my loppy ass yanking on them, never had a problem in freezing conditions, they work flawless everytime. i've yanked on them with a frozen shut door several times.
i bring nothing to the table
