MKII parts cars, if you need an odd or end...

Postby Turtle-Dude » Mon May 07, 2012 9:43 am

MKII parts cars, most or all of the trick stuff and major components are already gone.
1990 small bumper Alpine White GLI, was a 9A 2.0L 16V

1986 small bumper Black GTI (rear disc setup, 10:1 1.8L 8V CIS, trans are still there potentially dash)

1992 big bumper Montana Green Jetta, was a digi I 1.8L 8V

1985 small bumper Alpine White Cabriolet (1.8L CIS, auto trans are still there)

I have at least 2 1.8L 16V heads complete.

One or more 16V valve covers.

16V Intake manifolds.

1 non-cracked dual outlet 16V exhaust manifold/downpipe.

Ground Control set up for rear of MKII

Let me know what odds and ends you might need and an offer and I'll pull it for you. Help me help you by parting these suckers out!

If you need to borrow one for smog I have a spare, otherwise I know a couple people working on a delete through DMV since it is an obsolete part.

Found one online. I'd be interested to hear how the delete works out.

Karl, my day job is in Stockton, live in Sacramento, shop/parts are in Woodland. When do you head back down from the hill?

Coming back Thursday. Not sure what traffic will be like then. The last time I drove down after the 4th it took 9 hours, what a drag.

I just bought an 86 GTI, but my speedo doesn't work so I may need parts off of your 86 GTI.

Also, do you have any Recaros fronts for sale? What is the condition of the seats off of your 86 GTI?

What's up Jay?!?

Which Recaros are you looking for? I just sold my blue ones from my GLI to a friend, but he's in the air about keeping the project. I have newly recovered Trophies in there now :D

I can ask him and find out if he still wants them. I'm sure he'll want $200 though, since that's what he paid for them...

Hey whats going on Jason!!!

Sweet you have trophies now! I just want some Recaros, so the ones off of your GLI is fine. I sold mine off of my calypso to a buddy of mine thinking I wasn't going to get an MK2 anytime soon. I ended up getting mine a month later. Yeah, if you can ask him that would be great! LMK either way

Sorry, I don't have any recaros and the seats, or what is left of them in the '86 are horrible.

I talked to him, he's not giving up on the car yet, just going to shelve it for a while. If I hear of any more seats come up for a good price I'll let you know.
