Sureguy wrote:So I've got a VF RS/S big turbo GTI right now low fuel pressure codes. I pulled the fuel pump and found the pump lifter was worn through and the cam lobe eaten up.
so was the final problem the fuel filter or the rear pump? or perhaps something all together? what im trying to ask is, is she running yet so we can get my car back in there?????Sureguy wrote:Pins are all good. There is a TSB about wear and there is an updated camshaft and lifter for FSI pump. This one had an APR pump which exacerbates the wearing. The lifter was punched through and the pump was running directly off the camshaft.
hmmmm so what your saying is say no to apr haw?Sureguy wrote:Umm waiting on stock FSI pump from owner. The APR pump has faulty readings at the pressure modulator. The rear pump checked out and I can command full flow from it so I'm sure it's fine.
