Hey everyone!
I just resigned on as a driver for VW in the 09' season of the Jetta TDI Cup! The season kicks off with a double header at VIR with Grand-Am and tours with either Grand-Am or ALMS. The closest race to home is Miller Motorsports Park in Utah on May 15-17th, an ALMS weekend.
Feel free to check out my website at calebkenneyracing.com. When the official press release is sent out, I'll post it on my site! With a little luck and a lot of hard work, I know that I can bring home the championship this year!
I was pretty busy last year and wasn't able to make it out to meets or get-togethers, but I'll try and make it out to, at least, a few! I'm going to try my best to represent NorCal as I'm using the California State flag instead of the American flag!

Great news Caleb! Landon and I were headed for the trials last Saturday, but it was decided that was a bad idea as we weren't VW employees...lol

Miller is a really cool track! It's a massive facility and a huge track. Cheap flights and hotels make it easy to get out to Salt Lake City. Plus its a ALMS weekend so you're going to see some really cools cars up close.
The only downside is a long drive to the track from the closest hotels.

One of APR's drivers is Mark White... I don't know him personally but I know of him. It looks like APR's cars are going to be really strong this year in the Grand-Am Koni Challenge.

To get into the series each year, you have to put in an application to be a driver. Volkswagen then selects 100 drivers and invites them to a four day shootout. Basically, 2 and half days of driving, a half day of written exams, and a day of physical performance testing. At the end of the four days, VW chooses who races in the series.
This year the shootout was at Infineon. It was awesome to wheel the Jetta on my home track! This year we moved from the Michelin slicks to Pirelli's. I really like the new tire as the car seems to have a really good balance.
Wish me luck!
