Welcome! Which engine do you have? Is there an option? I'll admit I'm not up on the engine choices per platform once VW introduced the MkV.
Without hesitation I'd recommend Unitronic software, APR for turbo engine exhaust or Techtonics Tuning for EVERY other VW engine. Fit and finish and tuning are simply awesome. There are probably a few companies selling their wares for less money or a higher advertised horsepower number but our cars are check engine light happy and a stable reliable tune is more important to me than an absolute peak number. I have installed both APR and TT exhausts and you can nearly throw the parts at the car and they will install themselves. :friday: Good luck and let me know if there is anything else I can answer or help with.

Im playing novice here. On the research I did I came up with the following....

techtonic Exhaust 605
OBX exhaust manifold 480
carbonio Intake 280

After exhaust and intake? What should I hit next? Intake manifold? bigger injectors? Fuel rail?

Thanks!!

You would probably see greater gains if you start with software. I'd recommend looking @ GIAC they make some of the more reliable tunes, and their flash loader is convenient.

I agree with Karl on the software aspect but do we know which engine you have yet? Karl, it's interesting the various opinions regarding software. GIAC was specifically who I was thinking of when to mentioned eeeek-ing out every last peak horsepower at the expense of a smooth torque curve and drive-ability. Some GIAC stuff in the past was so tweaked that on two identical cars it would run great on one and detonate like crazy on the other, engine condition and most recent tune-up identical. I prefer the software that retains it's "learning" capability for a sweet ride.

I just went to the GIAC website and they don't have a chip for the 09's yet! That blows...Does the year really matter with programming? Or as long as its the same enigine will it still work?
